Maria Rautio

I work as a Senior Lecturer at Jamk’s Language Centre. My areas of responsibility include Finnish language and learning support: I teach Finnish to international students and also work as a special needs teacher. I have experience in basic education, upper secondary education and adult education, and I have also spent many years supervising student teachers during their teaching practice. I am particularly interested in developing the role of special education teachers in higher education, identifying student challenges as early as possible, and promoting more accessible teaching and learning environments.
